How to take care of the embroidery. 3 basic rules
In order for your favorite embroidery to serve you for a long time and not lose its appearance and bright colors, you need to properly care for it. That is, not only to avoid greasy stains and remove moths from the closet where the embroidered fabric is stored, but also to wash, dry and iron correctly.
1 rule. Do not use a washing machine
Products with embroidery are recommended to be washed by hand, at a temperature of about 30-40 degrees. Soak the shirt in warm, soapy water (without bleaching, chlorinated products, they can cause the color to fade). It is advised not to use washing powder, but soap shavings. If there is a stain, it should be lightly rubbed. It is not advisable to rub the places where there is embroidery itself, because this way you can spoil the product, pull the threads. You need to rinse the embroidery in warm water and very thoroughly, so as to wash all detergents from the fabric fibers. To do this, you can add vinegar (in the proportion of 1 teaspoon to 1 liter of water).
If you have forgotten how to wash by hand, and your embroidery is not very colorful and multi-colored, then of course you can use a washing machine. But in this case, too, follow the basic recommendations. Choose a delicate or hand wash mode, with a low temperature and without spinning. Turn the embroidery inside out and put it in a special bag to wash. Do not overload the washing machine with other clothes.
Rule 2. Dry properly
After you have rinsed the embroidery, gently shake off the water. Do not twist in any case! If you are afraid that the water from the product will soak the entire bathroom, then immediately wrap the wet shirt in a terry towel. It gently absorbs moisture. Then lay out to dry on a horizontal surface. If you hang it habitually, the product may stretch. Be careful if you dry the product in direct sunlight. If you leave the shirt to dry for a long time, the colors may fade.
Rule 3. Iron only through gauze or cloth
You need to iron the embroidered fabric when it is still slightly damp. The iron should be at a moderate temperature (not too hot). Turn the shirt inside out and lay gauze on top, only then start ironing. After that, do not immediately put the product in the closet, but hang it on a hanger.
Follow these rules and the flowers on your embroidery will bloom long and brightly!
